It has been such an honor for us to get to know John and Elizabeth through being their photographer and designers. They both have such fun, quirky personalities, its easy to see why they are mad about each other. I really loved John and Elizabeth’s wedding, especially the very personal ceremony. To kick things off I took some photos of the ladies, starting with the beautiful bride Elizabeth.

John looked quite handsome in his black and red tux. Geoff did an amazing job (as usual) of taking some fun photos of the fellas.

John and Elizabeth decided to do a First Look before the ceremony. Elizabeth had the biggest smile on her face. We adore getting to capture that moment.

After the couple had a chance to relax a bit, it was time to get married! The ceremony and reception was held at the Viscaya Pavillion in Downtown Sacramento.

One of the things I loved so much about the ceremony was the way they incorporated music, which is a big part of their lives, especially for John who is a musician in his own band. John sang “The Luckiest” for Elizabeth and it was such and emotional moment. Even I was holding back the tears.

John and Elizabeth hand-wrote their own vows. They were (just like them) funny, quirky, but most importantly honest and full of love.

On their way back down the aisle, John led all the guests in singing The Beatles’ “Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da”.

Hahaha, I just noticed how funny these next two photos look together.

We finished up some photos of the just-married couple and headed inside for the reception. I loved all the personal touches they added, especially the bunny-kitty cake (or should I say cupcake!) toppers. Take a look at my previous post to see all the ways they incorporated their invitation design into their wedding.

How darling is this little girl who drew this picture of John and Elizabeth on their wedding day?

This a couple that loves cheese! The Viscaya had a cheese platter ready for them when they entered the reception. I love how Elizabeth told John in her vows, “I even love you more than cheese”. Adorable.

A serious session of crazy eights out there on the dance floor.

The newlyweds tearing into the delicious cupcakes from Freeport Bakery.

After the first dances it was time to cut loose and party!

It’s always a good time for “Thriller”!

Thank you so, so much for choosing Geoff and I to be a part of your wedding, John and Elizabeth. Elizabeth, I especially loved getting to spend so much more time with you through the design process too! We are sorry to hear your Disneyworld honeymoon was less than ideal but, I must admit I am kinda jealous of the Epcot Segway tour. Plus the marriage is what you really have to look forward to anyway! We both wish you two so many years of love and happiness!

Before I share John and Elizabeth’s adorable wedding, I wanted to take a post to share their wedding invitation suite design with you all. I LOVE the way these turned out and I especially love the way we incorporated John and Elizabeth’s personality into the design and how they incorporated the design into their wedding day!

It all started with a kitty and a bunny. When we all met up for our initial consultation, they told us how they wanted to incorporate John’s kitty and Elizabeth’s bunnies into their wedding. (Check out their engagement session for some cute photos of them with their pets!) They envisioned a logo with a bunny bride and kitty groom. I designed the logo you’ll see in the save the dates below and throughout the suite.

The wording they wrote for their save the dates was so darn cute! I just love that they wanted to put their own spin on things!

When it was time to design their invitations, they described some ideas and themes they wanted and I designed this invitation suite complete with invitation, hotel information card, RSVP postcard and address label.

The bunny kitty logo was there too of course!

This was the RSVP postcard. I designed them so that they did not require an additional envelope and they could stick a (less expensive!) stamp on the back. I love thinking of creative ways to save money. Then all their guests had to do was fill it out and drop it in the mail box!

The final piece, which should be hitting the post office soon, is the Thank You cards. Elizabeth mentioned the idea of a talk bubble coming out of the bunny and kitty and I ran with it. I think these are super cute!

I imagine it will be fun for John and Elizabeth to fill out the talk bubble! SO cute!

Now this is my favorite part. When I design your wedding invitations, I can provide you with the design elements so that you can incorporate them elsewhere into the wedding. I love all the ways that the couple used the logo and design throughout the day. Elizabeth told me she was able to have a theme without being too “theme-y”, and she loved how everything matched.

Check out the Ring Bearer Bowl made by Etsy seller Paloma’s Nest! She had the logo stamped on to the bowl. Loving it!

I love the custom m&m’s with the logo!

John even made a little sign for the vegetarian dish they served at the reception. Darling.

Not a part of the design, but definitely a part of the wedding theme are these adorable cake toppers by the amazing Bunny with a Toolbelt. This was the second wedding in a row to have Bunny with a Toolbelt cake toppers! I love them!

When John and Elizabeth came by to pick up their wedding photos, they joked about getting the logo as tattoos. I guess that means they liked it! Come back tomorrow to see more photos of John and Elizabeth’s wedding!

Jeff and Nichole’s wedding was a blast! It took place in Lockeford, CA which is a small town southeast of Sacramento. It was simply a gorgeous day too…perfect weather for getting married! Jeff and Nichole’s love is really inspiring. It’s so easy to see that they are made for each other — they are both down-to-earth, super nice, great people. That’s probably why they were engaged not too long after they started dating. When you know, you know, right?!

I loved Nichole’s look for the wedding. Isn’t her hair so cute and unique? And I do love me a good chunky beaded necklace.

Jeff was looking pretty dashing himself! Geoff took the guys across the street from the church to this great field.

After we were both done taking pictures of the ladies and ‘gents separately, it was time for Jeff and Nichole’s first look.

We stole away for a bit into this little chapel on the church grounds. It was so adorable in there and the window light was wonderful!

Then we got the group back together for some big bridal party shots!

Here they all wanted to be Rockettes!

I love how joyful and happy our couples look in the post-nuptiual portraits. Jeff and Nichole are no exception!

The reception was held in the hall on the church grounds. The colors were so bright and vibrant! Loving the magenta!

Ohmigoodness, I looooved Jeff and Nichole’s cake topper. Of course, I am a little biased. It was created by the same Etsy artists that made the topper at mine and Geoff’s wedding, Bunny with a Tool Belt. I highly recommend her for adorable sculptures and cake toppers.

This next one has got to be my new favorite bouquet catch photo EVER.

Huge congratulations to Jeff and Nichole! We both wish you both so much happiness and we are so glad that we were apart of your wedding day. Thank you so much. Take care of each other you two!

What a beautiful day Jeff and Nichole’s wedding day turned out to be! Not only was the weather perfect (the storming rain literally stopped just in time for the sky to be filled with gorgeous fluffy clouds and the sun to be shining bright!), we had an amazing time celebrating the start of their marriage with them. I’ve got so many more wonderful images to share…come back soon!

We feel so lucky to have been chosen to capture the celebration of Jonathan and Lecelin’s wedding day! This is seriously one super-sweet couple! Even though we only got to know them a short time before their wedding, it was easy to see how in love and perfect for each other they are. The two of them live in Utah where Lecelin is a student and Jonathan is a 3D artist (too cool!) I’m so glad that Lecelin is from CA because we got to meet them and photograph their wedding in Sacramento and Benicia! The happy couple was sealed in the Sacramento LDS Temple in Folsom, which is where our day with them began. And what a beautiful day it was! Sacramento weddings in the wintertime always have a good chance of getting rained on, but their wedding day was gorgeous! I was loving the puffy clouds in the sky!

It’s always such fun to capture the moment the newlyweds exit the temple doors! I love the joyous looks on their faces!

I got a little alone time with the beautiful bride Lecelin while Geoff was off with the guys. She looked so wonderful — absolutely glowing with happiness!

We’d kept these two apart long enough so we met up for some portraits of the happy couple. They are simply irresistible together!

The sunshine was so pretty that day. Unusual for a day in January!

After photos at the Temple, we headed to the reception in Benecia where Lecelin’s hometown church is located.

I love roast pig at a wedding!

At the church, Jonathan and Lecelin had a ring ceremony for their friends and family that couldn’t make it to Sacramento.

Post cake-smash! Yummy!

This wedding had **by far** the most creative getaway car decoration ever! What do you when you forget the car chalk? Why, use cake of course! These guys were cracking me up!

Major congratulations to Jonathan and Lecelin! Geoff and I are so happy to have been a part of the start of your lives as husband and wife! We had so much fun getting to know your families and friends and we wish you the BEST in your new life together!
