What a beautiful day Jeff and Nichole’s wedding day turned out to be! Not only was the weather perfect (the storming rain literally stopped just in time for the sky to be filled with gorgeous fluffy clouds and the sun to be shining bright!), we had an amazing time celebrating the start of their marriage with them. I’ve got so many more wonderful images to share…come back soon!

We feel so lucky to have been chosen to capture the celebration of Jonathan and Lecelin’s wedding day! This is seriously one super-sweet couple! Even though we only got to know them a short time before their wedding, it was easy to see how in love and perfect for each other they are. The two of them live in Utah where Lecelin is a student and Jonathan is a 3D artist (too cool!) I’m so glad that Lecelin is from CA because we got to meet them and photograph their wedding in Sacramento and Benicia! The happy couple was sealed in the Sacramento LDS Temple in Folsom, which is where our day with them began. And what a beautiful day it was! Sacramento weddings in the wintertime always have a good chance of getting rained on, but their wedding day was gorgeous! I was loving the puffy clouds in the sky!

It’s always such fun to capture the moment the newlyweds exit the temple doors! I love the joyous looks on their faces!

I got a little alone time with the beautiful bride Lecelin while Geoff was off with the guys. She looked so wonderful — absolutely glowing with happiness!

We’d kept these two apart long enough so we met up for some portraits of the happy couple. They are simply irresistible together!

The sunshine was so pretty that day. Unusual for a day in January!

After photos at the Temple, we headed to the reception in Benecia where Lecelin’s hometown church is located.

I love roast pig at a wedding!

At the church, Jonathan and Lecelin had a ring ceremony for their friends and family that couldn’t make it to Sacramento.

Post cake-smash! Yummy!

This wedding had **by far** the most creative getaway car decoration ever! What do you when you forget the car chalk? Why, use cake of course! These guys were cracking me up!

Major congratulations to Jonathan and Lecelin! Geoff and I are so happy to have been a part of the start of your lives as husband and wife! We had so much fun getting to know your families and friends and we wish you the BEST in your new life together!

And so it begins! On Saturday we photographed our first wedding of the 2010 season with the sweet and very much in love Jonathan and Lecelin. We had a blast hanging out with them and their friends and family as they were sealed at the Sacramento LDS Temple and at the reception in Benicia. Thanks to you two for having us there, we cannot wait to share more photos! Stay tuned!

I cannot say it enough…Geoff and I feel so lucky to be a part of Lance and Kimnan’s cultural Cambodian wedding. It was unlike any other wedding we’ve been to. It was colorful, full of family, food, and traditions. It was quite the experience! What a great wedding to end 2009 with. The ceremonies were held at Kimnan’s parent’s home.

I love the cute little look they are giving each other here.

This part was fun. It was the traditional hair-cutting ceremony. Family members were invited to give the happy couple a little trim (they only pretended of course!)

This is why fall is my favorite season! The color of this tree was A-MAZE-ing! It was as though it was there JUST to look awesome with Lance and Kimnan’s outfits.

For the final ceremony, Lance and Kimnan were dressed as a king and queen. Family members tied red threads around their wrists as symbols of good fortune as they were showered with sparkly confetti.

Then they changed into the american-style white gown and tux for some photos and for the reception later that evening.

Kimnan looked drop-dead gorgeous! She is such a beautiful woman and she wore every outfit so well. Absolutely a treat to photograph!

Then we headed down to the American River for what are some of my favorite wedding portraits ever! The light was just scrumptious and Lance and Kimnan are sooo adorably cute together.

Thank you SO much for letting us be a part of this amazing celebration. We will truly never forget it! Lance and Kimnan, we wish you all the happiness in the world!

Ahhhh, Cale and Lana! How do we properly express the love we have for these two wonderful people? They are both so sweet and so full of love for each other. Not to mention a blast to hang out with! Their wedding day was full of so much fun, family, laughter and love. Lana is Vietnamese so the day started off in the traditional fashion — Lana and her family were at her mom’s home while Cale and his side of the family were down the street at another family member’s house.

When the time came, the boys and the groom’s family walked down the street carrying a roasted pig and other gifts for the bride and her family.

Then Lana came out and the two saw each other for the first time that day. It was such a happy, emotional moment, especially with tons of friends and family surrounding them!

Then it was time for the traditional tea ceremony in which the bride and groom present tea to important family members. They in turn present gifts to the happy couple along with a few words of advice.

We stole a few moments with Cale and Lana at a nearby park. Lana looked so beautiful in her Vietnamese attire. Cale wasn’t so bad himself!

Then it was time to make things official! Cale and Lana were sealed at the Sacramento LDS Temple in Folsom. It’s always such fun capturing the moment the couple exits the temple for the first time as husband and wife!

Cale and Lana’s beautiful reception was held at Serrano Country Club in El Dorado Hills. It was a gorgeous evening with picture perfect weather.

Cale and Lana are the “jumping shot” pros!!!

Party time! The bridal party got things started on the dance floor!

Seriously! You guys are way too stinkin’ cute!!

The couple made their grand exit through a barrage of bubbles! Who doesn’t love bubbles!?

It was such a wonderful day spent with an awesome couple. Cale and Lana, what an amazing journey you have had (so far, of course)! Geoff and I wish you two so, so much happiness! Thank you for having us be the ones to capture your wedding memories. We love you guys soooo much!

What a fun experience it was to be a part of Cris and Janice’s wedding! Janice is a lover of all things Disney and the couple’s first date was a trip to Disneyland so OF COURSE Cris and Janice’s wedding featured a boatload of Disney-ness. Myself being a huge Disney fan it was awesome to see all the little personal touches they included in the day. The ceremony and reception were held at the Vizscaya Mansion in downtown Sacramento which is where the girls were getting ready when I arrived.

I love this one that Geoff took of the guys in front of the lightrail as they were walking over to the ceremony.

Time to get married! All of the ceremony music was Disney. It was so cute!

On to the reception! Can I just say how much I love that the cake says “Happily Ever After” on it? Just as awesome was the music. Actual songs from Disneyland rides. Soooooo made me want to grab Geoff and go back to Disneyland!

Thanks Cris and Janice, we had such a great time at your wedding!! We see many more trips to Disneyland in your future…of course this time as Mr. and Mrs.! Congratulations on your marriage — we wish you the best!
