The weather on Adam and Stacy’s wedding may have been a little grey and rainy but it really was a beautiful day full of personal details, family involvement, and lots o’ love. I do have to begin by saying how wonderful it has been to get to know this fun couple. Stacy is originally from Hawaii and so full of life and positive energy. Adam is intelligent, witty and a ton of fun to be around. It was such a wonderful thing to be a part of these two’s wedding day. I kicked things off at the home of a family friend where the ladies readied for the day. I had a blast taking photos of all of Stacy’s cute details.

I really love how Stacy included her Hawaiian culture into the wedding with the bridesmaids dresses and the flowers. She was even sweet enough to have a lei for me and Geoff!

Geoff was of course with the guys at a nearby hotel. They prepared for the day with a few drinks!

Once the girls were ready, Adam came to the house to see his bride. We set them up in the backyard for their First Look.

I love this one of their florals. Stacy taught me something about the lei. If you are married, the bow goes on the left, just like your wedding ring. Stacy figured she was close enough to being married, so on the left it was!

Once we were done taking photos, the rain decided it was time to join the party. We headed over to Adam’s parents house where the ceremony and reception was to be held.

I love this one of all the umbrellas. Gotta keep dry!

Needless to say, it was quite wet in the backyard where everything was set up. I had fun taking photos of all the raindrops on everything. The guests hung out inside while the rain came down.

Adam and Stacy are serious beer connoisseurs so they named all the table numbers after some of their favorite breweries. They even made custom pint glasses as favors/escort cards.

Luckily the rain cleared up juuuust in time for the ceremony to begin! So after wiping down a few chairs, everyone headed outside.

Ceremony time!

After the short and sweet ceremony and family photos, we stole Adam and Stacy away for some portraits of the happily married couple. I really loved Adam’s reaction to the photo below. He told us he loved that we captured it because it is the street he looked out his window to see his whole life.

I was really digging the cake . It had such a great, eclectic look to it, not to mention it was delicious. Chocolate peanut butter cake, hello! All that, AND it was made by one of their friends — amazing!

You might remember their dog Isabel from their engagement session. I was happy to see her make an appearance at the wedding. So cute!

Adam and Stacy we really loved getting to know you two through this whole process. You two are so much fun and full of personality and you make a perfect husband and wife. I know there will be much amazingness in your future together! Congratulations!!!

I am SOOOO excited to post this amazing engagement session. First off, Alan and Melissa are just plain awesome. They are funny, completely adorable, and so much fun to be around. These two are big baseball fans so what could be more perfect for their engagement session than having an entire ballpark all to ourselves! We met up at Raley Field and had a blast playing around and making amazing photos.

Alan and Melissa have a thing for letters so they brought along some from home. Super cute!

Alan and Melissa can jump like champs! Of course it does help that Alan is a former cheerleader! Check out that height!

I love this one!

I gotta give Melissa credit for coming up with this next photo. I love it!

Alan and Melissa had a little wardrobe change about halfway through. Take a look as Melissa’s cute accessories. I was lovin’ the hair flower and her A+M pin is just too cute for words. Her stripe-y dress and red heart belt were awesome as well! (Yes, I am a little in love with her outfit.)

Not to mention how beautiful Melissa is. She is going to be a gorgeous bride!

Yay for more letters!

Seriously, Alan and Melissa, we had the best time with you two! It was sooo much fun having the whole stadium to ourselves and running all over the field with you. We both love the way the photos turned out! We really can’t wait to capture your wedding day come September! Oh, and Congratulations on the new house!

Cody and Autumn share a kind of love that makes us all envious. From being each other’s high school sweethearts to becoming husband and wife, it is so easy to see why these two were made for each other. Autumn is sugary-sweet, cute, and silly while Cody is down-to-earth, charming, and lovable. We are so happy that they chose us to be their wedding photographers! They started off their wedding day with seeing each other for a First Look. Geoff and I spied this awesome field not too far from their home that was perfect!

Cody was looking quite dashing in his tuxedo!

I loved Autumn’s princess dress. Endless layers of fluffy tule? Yes please!

After photo time it was off to the Sunset Center in Rocklin for the wedding. Nearly everything in the wedding was handmade or DIY by Autumn and Cody or family members, which I just loved. from the decorations to the ceremony and vows it was all done by them.

I really loved their photo table with pictures of themselves and family members.

After the ceremony, we took some portraits of the happy newlyweds.

Now here is a group that knows how to party! The dance floor was full all night long!

We can’t say it enough, Cody and Autumn, you two are amazing people and we know you will have nothing but happiness and LOTS of love in your future. Thank you for having us be a part of your wedding and CONGRATULATIONS!

I am so super duper excited to post this wedding! I have to start off by saying that Ryan and Shannon are two of the sweetest, friendliest, energetic, completely-full-of-personality people you will meet. From the moment we met them, we knew they would be a blast to get to know and we were right! We had SO much fun with them on their engagement session incorporating all of their ideas into the photos. Fast forward to their wedding day and I could not imagine anything more perfectly “them”. The weather that day was perfect at the Flower Farm in Loomis, which is one incredible venue. I don’t think I can get enough of this place. The photo opportunities are nearly endless. Everywhere you turn there is something beautiful. Pair that with a gorgeous bride and handsome groom and we were in photographer’s heaven!

Shannon has the BEST facial expressions in every photo! She kept everyone laughing all day!

I LOOOVE this one of Shannon and her sister/MOH. You two are too sweet!

Get a load of these beautiful blooms! I kind of had a wee crush on the flowers.

And then there is Shannon. I could not stop taking photos of this gorgeous girl! She had so much joy bubbling up inside her that you could just see the happiness in every photo. Don’t even get me started on little Tucker! I mean, a bride and a puppy? How much cuter can you be?!

Plus, she is a DIY queen! Along with help from Ryan, she made her own jewelry, and all of the bridesmaids jewelry, plus Ryan’s tie pin, not to mention all the wedding decor. You rock Shannon!

While I was basking in the loveliness of Shannon and her best girls, Geoff had the honor of photographing Ryan. Now here is a guy every dad wants his daughter to marry — so sweet, so thoughtful, funny, and so cute! I said it before, but these two are simply perfect for each other.

Because photography was so important to Ryan and Shannon (and ’cause they are just plain awesome) they decided on a First Look. If you are not familiar with a First Look, basically, prior to the ceremony, we set the bride and groom in a beautiful location and they get to see each other for the first time, just the two of them, and get to enjoy some intimate alone time (probably all they will get all day!) while Geoff and I snap away. It takes some of the edge off on your wedding day and allows us to get time for some amazing photography. Case in point, Ryan and Shannon.

After Ryan and Shannon’s portraits, we got the bridal party back together for some group shots of everyone.

The couple even made it in their plan to do the family photos pre-ceremony. Hey, less photos to take after the ceremony = more time to party!

Shannon and her dad were hilarious!

Before too long, it was time to marry these two crazy lovebirds!

Speaking of DIY, check out the cute flip-flops Shannon made for her ‘maids to wear at the reception. Such a thoughtful bride!

The license is signed — it’s official!

After that, it was on to the reception and party time!

Who does not love a candy bar!? I always love those pops of bright colors! I also adore the way they used one of their engagement session photo for the sign. SO glad we stopped at that candy store in Old Sacramento!

Ryan’s mom and dad sang a special song for the newlyweds. It was adorable.

During the toasts, Shannon’s dad literally “passed the torch” over to Ryan! What a great moment!

Their cake, made by Cakes by Jami was so simple and so beautiful.

Bouquet and garter toss photos never fail to crack me up big time.

For their first dance, Ryan and Shannon planned a little surprise…

…in the form of an out-of-control-awesome swing dance!

I cannot say it enough, Ryan and Shannon THANK YOU for choosing us to capture your wedding day. Geoff and I feel honored just to KNOW you let alone have our photographs be a part of your lives. We know you are going to have a long happy marriage and we wish you nothing but the best for the future! Our only hope is that we can have as much fun in our own marriage as you two seem to have around each other.
