Get ready for a seriously EPIC engagement session coming up! Mike and Melissa are one rad couple and we had an ama-za-zing time with them on Friday. I cannot wait to share the oh-so-many more awesome photos of these two. Stay tuned!
What is not to love about being in an amazing city with an equally amazing couple for some photo magic makin’? Chris and Shannon met on the ski lifts in Tahoe (awwwww) and now they live together in San Francisco. So of course SF was the perfect setting for their engagement photos! It was a lovely, sunny (albeit windy) day in the city, just perfect for chasing all over taking photos. We started out a couple blocks from where Chris and Shannon live in a pretty green park. Don’t you just loooove springtime?
After walking around the neighborhood for a bit, we went up to Twin Peaks, the location where Chris popped the question! There is such a wonderful view from up there. The wind was a little intense though!
Afterwards we headed to the beautiful Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park.

I’m kind of in love with this next photo. Of, course these two were just so dang cute, they made it incredibly easy.
After we left the Park, our last stop was Baker Beach for some pretty sunset photos.
Awwww…Shannon and Chris, you two just warm my heart. We loved hanging out with you in San Francisco and cannot even begin to tell you how STOKED we are about your 10/10/10 wedding in Boston! Thank you again for being your wonderful selves!
So many teasers lately! That’s because we have a ton of awesome stuff coming down the pipe. Take for example, Josh and Kelly! Kelly is one of my good friends from my Sorority days at Sac State. I am SOOOO excited that Geoff and I are photographing their wedding in October. I’m also excited to share more photos from their midtown engagement session with their rad cruiser bikes and their (very!) little doggie, Lucy. Come back soon for more!
Matthew and Diane…oh how we love them so. They are so cute and sweet and funny! We had a great time with them at their engagement session. They are made for each other and so in love, they made taking photos easy-peasy! They had the awesome idea of shooting at the Tower Theatre which was great because I’d been wanting to shoot there for some time now!

Diane tried so hard to keep a serious face for this shot. I’m actually glad they both burst into laughter ’cause now I can make a rad animation!

After the downtown shots, we headed down the Sacramento River levee, a place that Matthew and Diane visit often, as it is not far from where they live. I am soooooo glad we went here. The colors were so gorgeous. Plus a hilarious (and possibly intoxicated) passerby decided to offer us some photography lessons. How was this man such an expert in photography? In his own words, “My brother works for Pixar.” SOOOO funny!
Seriously, Matthew and Diane, you two are awesome! Thank you for being such a great, down-to-earth couple. I cannot even begin to say how excited we are for your wedding in June. It’s going to be in Fairy Tale Town people! The photo opportunities have my mind spinning. Oh and did I also mention how excited I am that Diane is MAKING her wedding dress?! How cool are you Diane?! We absolutely cannot wait for the big day!!
We had such a fun time with Chris and Shannon in San Francisco for their engagement session. We went to so many amazing parks that day. (Which, of course, isn’t hard–it’s San Francisco for cryin’ out loud!) It is not hard to believe this shot was taken only two blocks from their apartment. I am so jealous!
