Geoff and I had so much fun photographing Kevin and Jen’s Engagement session. Kevin is my little cousin and I still cannot believe he is getting married! We had their session at the lovely Discovery Park and it really turned out to be a beautiful day. The weatherman called for rain, but the clouds proved otherwise! I love just-after-rainy days — the clouds are the best!

We had a great time with you Kevin and Jen! Geoff and I both loved getting to know the two of you better as a couple. We can’t wait for the wedding in May!

I am sooooo happy that Ryan and Shannon chose us as their wedding photographers. It was so much fun getting to know them better at their engagement session. Ryan is smart and a great jokester so he fits perfectly with Shannon who is silly as she is beautiful (and she is gorgeous!) Thier session combined three of my favorite things: awesome couple, candy, and a PUPPY! They have the most adorable Shorkie puppy (Schnauzer-Yorkie) that they brought along to the shoot. We went to Old Sac, one of Shannon and Ryan’s favorite places.

I just love how Shannon was hammin’ it up!

Ryan and Shannon have a bit of a sweet tooth, (not unlike myself) so the candy shop was one of our stops on the list! I love all the colors and yummy textures here!

Don’t forget all the prop opportunities!

Then their puppy Tucker joined us. Oh my goodness he is so cute! Now that Geoff and I are moved into the house, hopefully we will get a little fluffy doggie soon!

This shot was a special request from Shannon. I love the way it turned out with the iconic sacramento skyline and sunset!

We always like to hold engagement sessions somewhere personal to the couple. For Cody and Autumn, who started dating in high school, (even had crushes on each other for the LONGEST time without the other knowing!) we took a trip back to their hometown, Auburn, CA to Placer High to make some awesome photos of these two high school sweethearts.

Right here is the spot where the two first met each other in between classes…so heartwarming!

What an amazing day it was! Two crazy-in-love kiddos and the most awesome fall foliage! It was a beautiful combo!

Did I mention how awesome this school is? Seriously beautiful architecture — it was hard to believe it was a high school!

Wowee, we are so glad to have been able to do this session with Autumn and Cody! We loved getting to see the origins of their relationship and we hope we captured the school (and the couple, of course) to the truest extent! Thanks for being so great Autumn and Cody! We can’t wait for the wedding (and hopefully a trip to Taco Tree in the near future!)

Woo hoo! I’ve been anticipating Cody and Autumn’s engagement session for so long now! These two lovebirds met in high school so OF COURSE we had their engagement session there! (BTW, Their high school is flippin’ amazing!) I am so excited to share more photos…stay tuned!

How fun was this engagement session!? Jeff and Nichole met at the Wrangler in Wilton, a small town south of Sacramento, where things are just a bit more country, so of course that was the perfect place to kick off the afternoon. I love the whole feel of the photos that came out of the session and of course, Jeff and Nichole are super sweet and cute with each other.

I love how Nichole’s beautiful ring was sparkling in the sunlight!

After we left the bar we just kept finding so much cool stuff to use as backgrounds, like the hay and feed store across the street, not to mention the awesome giant buffalo statue or the “tractor graveyard”.
